07.06.2004 -- The Reenascreena Midsummer Extravaganza is coming!

Make a note in your diary, the Reenascreena Midsummer Extravaganza takes place on Thursday 17th, Friday 18th, Saturday 19th and Sunday 20th June this year. So, head down to Reenascreena for a fun-filled weekend.

Thursday 17th June

• Walk the Reenascreena Trail with local historian Fachtna O'Callaghan (meet at 7pm by the chimney stack in Reenascreena village)

Friday 18th June

• Reenascreena National School Children's Sport Day
• Road Bowling: celebrating half a century on the highways and byways of West Cork
• Mouse Racing: high speed thrills and spills as our thoroughbred racing rodents go head-to-head. Buy a mouse beforehand (contact us for details) or bid for a winner on the night in our mouse auction!

Saturday 19th June

• Drama from the renowned Kilmeen Drama Group
• Readings, storytelling, recitations and more from an array of local talent
• Open floor: why not join in?

Sunday 20th June

• The Reenascreena Music Marathon: from 4pm onwards, featuring a host of widely acclaimed West Cork musicians and singers
• Dancing at the Crossroads
• Open floor: a chance for the musically minded to take the stage
